High density WiFi for exhibition halls
The challenges in terms of WiFi in trade fairs and exhibition halls are enormous. Often changing requirements in a very chaotic environment with a huge number of users.
In the exhibition halls of Kortrijk Xpo, Flanders Expo, Antwerp Expo, Namur Expo, Nekkerhal, etc. Citymesh manages all the telecom. In addition to providing a fully covered WiFi network, we also provide wired high capacity connections and personalise the experience of all users.
CITYMESH & FIXED HIGH-DENSITY NETWORKS
An exhibition hall is an ever-changing environment in which telecoms must be handled flexibly. At the request of the exhibition halls, for example, stock market-specific solutions are often developed, such as additional SSIDs, other portals, changing walled gardens, temporary extra network connections outside, etc. Here, too, we use our own Wi-Fi management platform.
We always try to think along with the exhibition owner or event organiser in order to maximise the use of the Wi-Fi network and to allow innovative applications.
Based on years of experience in exhibition halls, it was a small step to also offer Wi-Fi on a temporary basis at large meetings. Some references : festivals (Pukkelpop, Dour, Feest in het Park,...), EK Turnen (Brussels Heizel), Autosalon (VIP Hall Brussels Heizel), I Love Techno, elections 2012 (Antwerp press room), Special Olympics (2014), etc. In 2015, we were also able to provide the Belgian Pavilion at the Milan World Expo with the necessary WiFi and telecom infrastructure.
Managing networks at events and in exhibition halls gave us a unique insight into building high-performance wireless networks in highly complex environments. High-density environments, which have made us even better at preventing interferences within the network.
It goes without saying that an SLA and smooth support procedures are in place to guarantee the long-term operation of these - often necessary - networks.
