Footfall passer-by counting
Looking for an efficient method to count visitors or to map visitor flows? With the Citymesh WiFi Probe, users can be counted, completely anonymously, via WiFi beacons that are broadcast by their device.
This makes it a simple exercise for an event organiser to find out how many visitors were present at a certain time (security) or an exhibition organiser can perfectly check whether his stand was successful and what movements the visitors made in the exhibition hall. This also makes it a lot easier for the cities to map out visitor flows.
HOW DOES THE WIFI PROBE WORK?
Our WiFi Probe is a small device that only needs some power and an internet uplink (sim card or UTP) to connect to the online platform. Then all passers-by are counted based on the signal strength of their device. This also immediately determines whether the user is a passer-by or interested visitors and is tracked whether he will return later.
WHAT IS THE WIFI PROBE USED FOR?
Through the online platform we give our users real-time access to the following information:
- How many people are present?
- How long do they stay or are they interested?
- How do they move? What are the hotspots and low interest zones?
- How many people come back (recurrent users)?
