Free WiFi in 27 Belgian train stations

The railway company NMBS equips its 27 largest stations with free WiFi. Travellers are allowed to use these WiFi networks. The WiFi is available in the station hall, the station corridors and on the platform.

Train passengers can log in to each of these networks quickly and easily with their NMBS account. Those who do not have such an account can create one quickly and easily. This network was established through a collaboration with Orange Belgium and Prodata Systems.

WiFiLab, Citymesh's WiFi management system, offers NMBS everything to easily manage its networks. With this system, they easily adjust the login flow and the portal page and manage user rights. They can also view the collected data in near real-time on this platform. In this way, the NMBS can better tailor its service to the needs of travellers. Citymesh offers WiFiLab as SaaS (Software-as-a-Service). It is fully compatible with Orange's existing network.
